MaxQ was originally written for another purpose, but it was my need to produce a simple regression test that forced me to figure out how to use it. Your Test MaxQ saves three parts of your test into a file, named “config.txt”. The first part gives you a unique username that you can use to log into any web site (you can just use your username and password to see if the web site is still running), and the second part sets the “number of connections to show” per page (the default is 5). The third part should be a list of webpage URLs. MaxQ will then continually go to each URL for a number of pages per visit and save the HTML at the end (this is necessary to get a valid HTML document to test against). MaxQ gives you a choice of two settings that make the web site slower for you to use: “Normal” and “Faster”. The difference is that the “Normal” setting means that MaxQ will take a little longer to find all the web sites you want to visit (but all the sites are fully visited). The “Faster” setting means that MaxQ will visit all the web sites quickly, but they won’t be fully visited. MaxQ Usage: MaxQ is pretty easy to use.
