Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.
AutoCAD 2018 22.0
AutoCAD’s popularity among CAD users worldwide has made it a classic in its class, with over 50 million users as of 2010.
To keep AutoCAD application files and scripts on all personal computers, Autodesk’s licensing model uses a “closed-source” licensing model, where users must purchase a software license to obtain the software application and all its files. Those files include an application binary file, data files, scripts, and even graphics that are made by the user, called “artwork.”
What’s New in AutoCAD: 2015 Update
Highlights of this release include:

Communication — For exchanging data with other software. For example, communication between AutoCAD and other applications via a standard file format; file transfer from AutoCAD to another application via the network.
AutoCAD works with the following file formats, including:
AI file format (AutoCAD only)
The DWG format is compatible with almost all other applications and on-screen viewers.
The Windows program interface is also available. For most of the user interface of AutoCAD, Windows has native support through its toolbars, Docking Windows, and menus. For some functions, it can be used as an option, such as editing text, printing, or closing drawing views. AutoCAD allows basic control over the Windows task bar, application icon, icons and status bar.
Applications and utilities
AutoCAD LT is available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux and other operating systems and is not intended for the CAD/BIM market. AutoCAD LT is available free of charge for educational, testing and evaluation purposes.
AutoCAD LT is not available for Linux or for macOS. Although AutoCAD LT supports Linux on Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP and Vista operating systems, it is not supported for later Linux releases. AutoCAD LT was available for macOS until 2010. The current version, 2015, is supported on macOS versions 10.7 and later.

Am I the only one who thinks James Comey’s speech to a group of FBI agents on July 10, 2016, during which he announced that “a new investigation” into Hillary Clinton’s email server had been launched, was a lie? Yes, the FBI had a file, which Comey had referred to as a “thorny issue.” But there was no investigation. He’d come up with a new excuse to withhold information about the investigation, which, he knew from the very beginning, had been closed. That’s what a liar does.
But Comey didn’t bother to lie. He simply said that the FBI “reviewed all of the communications that were to or from Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State.” Yet he never explained how this review had been performed. That is, he didn’t explain what the FBI did.
Comey was a class act. But, then, that was a characteristic of his public career. In public, he was all charm and good manners. But in private, Comey treated Hillary Clinton with a severity that was not warranted.
I don’t think he’d ever met a Republican, not that that would have mattered to him. But his treatment of Hillary Clinton was a giveaway of the fact that he didn’t think of her as a fellow human being.
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have exchanged criticism in the course of the election season. Trump has called her “dishonest” and “crooked” and has said she’s a “liar.” In return, she’s said that he was “a phoney,” “unfit for the presidency” and “unfit for any public office.”
There’s something to that. Hillary Clinton is a liar. She lied to the American people when she said, in the debates, that it was a mistake to give classified information to her email server. She lied when she said that she never received any classified information. And she lied when she claimed that her emails had been handled by “career” government employees, as though that was an excuse. And she lied when she said that her email system had been “cleaned up.”
But Hillary Clinton is also a human being. She’s not a monster. And, like

User interface improvements
Autodesk has redesigned their menus to improve overall usability. One of the key benefits is the ability to easily see and access every feature that’s available in AutoCAD.
In the New User Interface, you can quickly access the commands that you use most often, including the ability to start, stop, save, and close a drawing. Access commands directly from the upper-right corner of the window, where they can be used to quickly navigate to and edit settings, or view a file.
The new design also makes it easier to access the Home tab and switch to the command line. Access your most-used commands and functions directly from the menus, including: Select, Zoom, Fit, Copy, Cut, Paste, Undo, and more.
For security reasons, you can now hide groups of drawings by right-clicking a folder and selecting “Hide Drawings” from the contextual menu. This will allow you to find your drawings easily and only see the drawings that you want to work on at any one time.
For more detailed information on the New User Interface, see User Interface Improvements in the 2023 Productivity Guide.
