Viewing your model
Follow these steps to view your model:
1. Choose View > Viewport.
The viewport is active, as shown in Figure 10.17. The grid appears in the viewport to indicate its scale.

2. Choose View > Navigation or click the Navigation button in the viewport header.
The Navigation option toggles between the navigator and the model. If you’re using the Navigation button, it displays a small representation of your model in the viewport.

Your model appears in the viewport, as shown in Figure 10.17. The grid indicates its scale. You can zoom in and out using the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons on the top of the viewport.
As you pan, items in the model move, as shown in Figure 10.18. You can also pan using the keyboard to pan with your mouse. You can also use the Move tool to move the model. You can’t place items on the model, and it can’t be exported.

Collaborative editing allows you and your colleagues to work together on a drawing from the same office or on different offices using the internet. You can work on the same drawing at the same time, allowing you to share feedback in real time. Changes are made automatically to the shared drawing, and the drawings can be synchronized so everyone sees the same drawing at the same time. You can also share new drawings you create while working on the shared drawing, and you can revert to older versions to help fix mistakes.
When you are working on a drawing, a collaborator can leave comments and feedback about a drawing in your presence.
The latest version of AutoCAD also includes a new Collaborative Layer. Your colleagues can see what you’re doing and be included in the drawing as they add comments, comments, and so on. They can leave comments on a drawing at the same time that you are, and their comments can be synchronized with your drawing.

You can easily view your drawings, even on a tablet or mobile device, with a new default viewing mode in the Drawing window called Tablet Mode.
